The idea behind this animation is to show off contrasting opposites, and for this piece I thought of the title "New York/Los Angeles", with the main contrast being dark sinister city vs the light sunny beach.

With the New York contrasting side I wanted to include the city, with large sky scrapers, skylines and dark alleyways as that is how i wanted to portray it, at least at night as with the saying goes "New York is the city that never sleeps".

With the Los Angeles aspect I wanted to portray this side as being bright, sunny, vibrant and lively. To advertise this I included dolphins diving into the sea as I see it as a beach side area, the rodeo drive sign as this is a famous Hollywood road where people shop for designer clothes.
I created this Motion Graphics video by drawing the graphics by hand such as the buidlings and the dolphin, I then scanned them and edited them in Adobe Photoshop. Once I had the graphics looking as I wanted them I then imported them into Adobe After Effects. When I had all the files I needed I animated them using the keyframe animation technique.
